Speaking of closed businesses, is Soups On Center gone now? There were on vacation for a few weeks now there's a sign that says closed.

I hope not.

I was surprised that they went in there and not surprised they are closing.

A large part of Radio Shack's business is cell phones and you rarely can get reception at that plaza. That had to have some impact.

Radio Shack should have been a little smarter and have installed a femtocell. Customers would have not known where there connection was coming from.

Amazon is taking all their business. So they are basically a third party wireless plan reseller with a few A/V products. I finally bought an HD tv at Best Buy Outlet (online).

I tried calling them a couple times, but the line was disconnected. I also stopped by; they were closed, the curtains were down and I didn't spot any notice about vacation.

If it's true they're gone, they will be missed!

The 'closed" sign replaced the vacation sign. I too will miss them, if they are in fact gone. It was a good place to stop by once in a while to either pick up a chicken dinner or some sandwiches and soup for an easy meal. (popovers!). Prices reasonable.

The soup was great. I think they would do better on a main road like 138, Belmont St,. etc and a little bit of advertising along with it.

More and more are going to fall. It's a tough time to start a business, but you have to give these people credit for taking the chance. I remember the days of Maplewood Ice Cream. It was great nothing fancy just good old ice cream.

Just curious as to what type of business can go in there. Would there be any type of restrictions? We live in Split Rock Estates and were hoping to walk our kids to piano lessons when they got older.

I believe it's zoned commercial. In that case, any legal business that meets the town's rules and regulations can go in there.
